Marine Life in the Aegean Sea

Bodrum is possibly the best diving location along the Aegean coast. The Aegean and Mediterranean seas are temperate and do not have as much coral and spectacular marine life associated with warmer seas in this part of the world such as the Red Sea. However, unlike some more exotic diving locations that cater only for divers and little else, Turkey offers a diversity of activities making it ideal for family holidays or where one partner is not a diver. The waters along the Aegean coast of Turkey are unpolluted, crystal clear, and with visibility in excess of 30 meters (100ft), wall diving is spectacular. Water temperatures range from 14°c (57°f) in February to 28°c (57°f) in August.

Most diving excursions in Turkey are for the whole day by boat, usually leaving at 10h00 and returning around 17h00. Divers, non-diving partners, snorkelers, trainees and children are all welcome. We can arrange daily diving, multi-day packages and PADI courses in Bodrum and at the other main coastal resorts of Ayvalik, Marmaris, and Fethiye. All daily diving excursions include lunch.
